  • Please read the terms and conditions before purchasing any courses, gift cards or products from Mighty First Aid.
    This agreement complies with Australian Consumer Law.
    Any submission of your personal information through Mighty First Aid is governed by our privacy policy.

    Cancellation of courses
    Refer to the Cancellation Policy for full details on cancellations.

    Payment
    Payments must be received in full prior to attending any course.
    Payments are conducted via the website with payments processed via Stripe.

    Indeminities and limitation of liability
    Mighty First Aid makes every effort to ensure that the information presented during the courses is accurate and up to date at the time of presentation.
    However, Mighty First Aid cannot accept any responsibility for any loss, injury or inconvenience resulting from the use of the information presented. Participants are encouraged to seek prompt medical advice whenever possible. Participation in a Mighty First Aid course is no substitute for doctor’s advice, ambulance attendance or other medical advice.

    Complaints
    We want all our clients to be happy with our services, and we take every complaint seriously and aim to respond to any complaints as soon as practicable.

    Mighty First Aid may contain links to external websites of third parties. We do not take anhy responsibility for the accuracy of the information they present, nor take any responsibility for security of their websites or associated links.

    The content of the website and courses has been developed by Mighty First aid. Any images have been licensed or have the express permission of the copyright holder. You agree not to copy, reproduce, or transmit any of the content presented.





  • Mighty First Aid is committed to providing quality services to you and this policy outlines our ongoing obligations to you in respect of how we manage your Personal Information.

    We have adopted the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) contained in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (the Privacy Act). The NPPs govern the way in which we collect, use, disclose, store, secure and dispose of your Personal Information.

    What is Personal Information and why do we collect it?
    Personal Information is information or an opinion that identifies an individual. Examples of Personal Information we collect includes names, addresses, email addresses, phone and facsimile numbers, participant age range, child (where applicable) age range, and relationship to child (where applicable).

    This Personal Information is obtained in many ways including workshops, correspondence, by telephone, by email, via our website mightyfirstaid.com.au, from cookies and from third parties. We don’t guarantee website links or policy of authorised third parties.

    We collect your Personal Information for the primary purpose of providing our services to you, providing information to our staff and marketing. We may also use your Personal Information for secondary purposes closely related to the primary purpose, in circumstances where you would reasonably expect such use or disclosure. You may unsubscribe from our mailing/marketing lists at any time by contacting us in writing.
    When we collect Personal Information we will, where appropriate and where possible, explain to you why we are collecting the information and how we plan to use it.
    We do not disclose Personal Information to third parties for the purposes of marketing.

    Sensitive Information
    Sensitive information is defined in the Privacy Act to include information or opinion about such things as an individual's racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, membership of a political association, religious or philosophical beliefs, membership of a trade union or other professional body, criminal record or health information.
    Sensitive information will be used by us only:
    • For the primary purpose of improving the delivery of our services.

    Third Parties
    Where reasonable and practicable to do so, we will collect your Personal Information only from you. However, in some circumstances we may be provided with information by third parties. In such a case we will take reasonable steps to ensure that you are made aware of the information provided to us by the third party.

    Disclosure of Personal Information
    Your Personal Information may be disclosed in a number of circumstances including the following:
    • Third parties where you consent to the use or disclosure; and
    • Where required or authorised by law.

    Security of Personal Information
    Your Personal Information is stored in a manner that reasonably protects it from misuse and loss and from unauthorized access, modification or disclosure.
    When your Personal Information is no longer needed for the purpose for which it was obtained, we will take reasonable steps to destroy or permanently de-identify your Personal Information. However, most of the Personal Information is or will be stored in client files which will be kept by us for a minimum of 7 years.

    Access to your Personal Information
    You may access the Personal Information we hold about you and to update and/or correct it, subject to certain exceptions. If you wish to access your Personal Information, please contact us in writing. Mighty First Aid will not charge any fee for your access request, but may charge an administrative fee for providing a copy of your Personal Information.
    In order to protect your Personal Information we may require identification from you before releasing the requested information.

    Maintaining the Quality of your Personal Information
    It is an important to us that your Personal Information is up to date. We will take reasonable steps to make sure that your Personal Information is accurate, complete and up-to-date. If you find that the information we have is not up to date or is inaccurate, please advise us as soon as practicable so we can update our records and ensure we can continue to provide quality services to you.

    1. Cancellations made by the client with more than 24 hours notice will be refunded in full.

    2. Cancellations made by the client with less than 24 hours notice will be subject to a 25% cancellation fee.

    3. In the event that a course has to be by Mighty First Aid (for example due to instructor illness) a full refund will be offered, or you may choose to be placed on to a future course of your choosing (subject to space availability).

    4. In the event that a course has to be cancelled or postponed due to factors outside our control (for example unexpected venue closure, weather event) we will place all participants on to a future course. Refunds may be offered if no suitable alternative date/time can be negotiated.

    5. We acknowledge that unexpected events can occur which may prevent you from attending at short notice. If you need to cancel with less than 24 hours notice due to an unexpected event, you may request to be placed on to a future course, however a 25% processing fee will be incurred. Waiving of the processing fee or requests for full refunds can be made, however agreement to provide a full refund in these circumstances is at the discretion of Mighty First Aid.

    1. Gift cards are not redeemable for cash

    2. Gift cards may be transferred to another person

    3. Gift cards are valid for one year from date of purchase (expiry date is indicated on your gift card). You may use your gift card to purchase a course later than the expiry date, as long as the transaction has been completed prior to the expiry date.

    4. Gift cards are sold for a specific number of people for a particular course (venue, date and time is selected by the recipient at time of redemption). You may use your gift card to purchase a different course from that shown on the card, however you will need to pay the difference - if any applies. You will not be refunded any unused portion of the gift card.
